Should I have my natural gas chimney cleaned?

Although generally, a natural gas fired furnace burns relatively clean it can create conditions that may erode the chimney flue. More importantly other conditions including animals and stranger things like lightning strikes can create problematic or dangerous conditions in your chimney. Thus your chimney should be inspected at least once per year.
